Similarly, a layman might come and argue that 1.2 is irrevocable because it says that it is, but the legal process would be to look at the other language to figure out the intent, and if the intent is determined to be that the contract is revocable, then the word irrevocable doesn't matter.This is the problem you are facing. You're arguing the meanings of things based on a layman's view and it's not matching up to any legal process that he is aware of, which is throwing [USER=42582]@pemerton[/USER] off.
