Feat: Customize Domain Type: General Source: Dragon #325 Benefit: Choose one of your cleric domains. You permanently exchange spells on your domain spell list for similar spells on any spell list you have access to. You can only choose to substitute spells that are of equal or lower level and that adhere to the following restrictions by domain: Destruction: Evocation spells that deal damage. Destruction Domain Spells 1 Inflict Light Wounds: Touch attack, 1d8 damage +1/level (max +5). 2 Shatter: Sonic vibration damages objects or crystalline creatures. 3 Contagion: Infects subject with chosen disease. 4 Inflict Critical Wounds: Touch attack, 4d8 damage +1/level (max +20). 5 Inflict Light Wounds, Mass: Deals 1d8 damage +1/level to any creatures. 6 Harm: Deals 10 points/level damage to target. 7 Disintegrate: Makes one creature or object vanish. 8 Earthquake: Intense tremor shakes 5-ft./level radius. 9 Implosion: Kills one creature/round. The character is Cleric/Wizard/etc with 8th lvl Cleric and 9th lvl Wizard spell list. What some great spells for replacing the destruction domain spells. They must be Evocation spells that do damage. I prefer spells with short casting times and no (or little) material cost. OTOH, the list looks pretty destructive, and has a blend of single target, group, and ranges. Maybe it's not worth a feat to improve it? Still, i'm not that thrilled with levels two and three, and where Earthquake is pretty monumentally bad, it might not always be appropriate. Earthquake is also a little inappropriate to the character, who would rather kill you without that sort of waste, and fuss (Yeah! for Harm and Disintegrate). See, with Feat: Domain Spontaneity you get to convert other spells (spontaneously) to your chosen domain. Sounds fun to be able to convert any (cleric) spell into Destruction.
