Help finding mini store in LA/Bakersfield area

First Post
Im stationed at Edwards AFB, which is unfortunately in the middle of nowhere. There are no stores in the semi-local area that sell DnD mini's. Ive done web searches and have only managed to find comic stores, seems like there are no stores in L.A. (least that i found) that cater to the total geek (DnD, Comics, Etc...) Maybe i was spoiled in alaska where all this stuff was in one store, but I cant seem to find any such place in this area.

If any of you live in the area of L.A. or Bakersfield (im in the middle of the two) and happen to know a good store that sells comics and dnd supplies, i would greatly greatly appreciate the help.

I never thought id miss anchorage, but things like this make me miss it more than i woulda ever thought possible.

Thanks in advance to any replies.

Well you won't find a Bosco's in the LA area as far as I know. It seems that there are game stores and there are comic stores. I grew up in LA and I don't think I'd ever seen a store there that crosses over. Of course, they're all over the bay area, where I live now, but for some reason LA has game stores and comic stores seperate. The nearest one to LA that I know of is in Redlands, but it's really a card shop and comic shop hybrid - he doesn't usually stock non-collectible games.

If you're looking for a store that sells minis, then I'd recommend The Gaming Experience in Bakersfield. The retailer is really personable and he's game industry saavy. If he doesn't have what you want, he'll get it. And he pays attention to product. But he doesn't sell comics.

I know of a store that sells both, but it is Long Beach. It would be easier and quicker to send you to two different stores that I know of in the San Fernando Valley. Just how far are you willing to travel to support your habit?
