Help!!! I can't find starting money in Skull & Bones!

I've looked all through my copy of Skull & Bones and while there is a wonderful list of items a character can buy I have yet to see where it lists starting money for the character classes. I mean, I could always start the PCs sleeping off a night of rum drinking on the beach in Tortuga and they wake up to find themselves penniless with nothing but the clothes on their back but that doesn't seem fair. Did Green Roning simply forget this little important item?

I don't know Skulls & Bones, but if it's D20, then it can't have the starting money because that information isn't OGL and can only be found in the D&D PHB. I don't know if this helps.

By God, I think you're right! As an editor/proofreader, I hold myself responsible. You can check their site for errata - but I'd just say give them enough to afford supplies but to still make them desperate. It seems like the classic way that pirates start off.

That doesn't make sense because the monetary system is totally different. They use doubloons, reales, and pieces of eight. I guess they leave is to DM's judgement. If memory serves, Traveller T20 and the Star Wars RPG both listed starting credits so that can't be right.

Okay, I went to Green Ronin's Forum and found a discussion there about the same issue. One of the developers got on it and said that they expected people to look at the wages section and make their own decision. However, in light of the quest they provided the following system.

Monk - 5d4 Pieces of Eight

Bokor and Hougan - 3d4 x 10 Pieces of Eight

Barbarian, Sea Dog, and Shantyman - 4d4 x 10 Pieces of Eight

Buccaneer and Rogue - 5d4 x 10 Pieces of Eight

Fighter and Ranger - 6d4 x 10 Pieces of Eight
