Classic! :D I would definitely like some more details. In the days before spiffy messageboards like this, I ran a whole party thru my uber-vampire turned pseudo demi-god's "lair" as a dream sequence to test it's defences. That, and a night in the "S&G Arena" against my friends uber-ridiculous character (that's "Sh*ts and Giggles Arena". Just to solve those "my character can beat your character" debates.) pointed out pretty much all the holes in my defenses. Things I found out... -You have find some way around Anti-Magic. After the first handfull of lackeys got killed by the Symbols on the Tomb's doors, the party turned on an AMF and tried to just walk in. That cancelled the Wish-permenanted (hey, a new word!) Rope Trick full of rot grubs! Scratch many more lackeys. -Use Wish to cast Magic-Missile. (Now you could just Empower it to 9th level  ) That way when the annoying mage with the "Let's just absorb every petty spell" Staff of the Magi sucks a couple down, his Staff goes Boom! -Mordankainen's Disjunction sucks! In 2E there was a spell that could be set to automatically cancel specific spells as soon as they were cast. (It was called *something* SpellStrike, I believe) A Ring of Counterspelling could do it now. Other bad things for your Lichie- Disruption weapons, Summoned Solars, Positive Energy Plane gates. Whatever your Phylacery is, unless there's some specific reason it needs to be as fragile as a glass christmas ornament, consider the advantages of making it a solid block of adamantite. If it must be a hollow eggshell or some such, then encase it in adamantite. And make sure it's a block bigger the the AOE a Disintegrate spell can get in one shot. Then put it within about 300 permanent Walls of Force and a Prismatic sphere or twelve. And if it's at the center of your Dungeon of Horrible Doom don't put a taunting riddle that allows you to bypass all the traps in the first room. I find taunting riddles that bypass the first 3 traps (to build trust) and then lead right into the Big PC Grinder are much better. :D Oh, and if they do somehow manage to fight their way thru to the end, put a Mirror of Opposition inside the chest (or coffin, in MY vampire's case) that they have to open to get you. ;) But anyway, yes more details please. I love devious stuff like this.
