Help me with slime and steam elementals?

I'd like to create a slime-elemental and a steam elemental from the older D&D cosmology which included para-elemental planes.

Anyone know where I can find information on these elemental creatures or those para-elemental planes?

or if any 3.5ed info is unavailable, anyon have any ideas the kinds of abilities they would have that would enhance and expand upon what we already know about slime and ... well... there are no steam creatures...

Any ideas?

I take it you don't have the 3.0 Manual of the Planes? It included paraelementals like ooze and smoke. I'd suggest getting your hands on that and build from those.

I looked thru the table of elements of that book on amazon.com and I didn't see the para-elemental planes mentioned at all.

I'll have to get my hands on a real copy and finger thru it... i hope there's some substantial stuff in there.
