You've probably got 8 different kinds of viruses because SP1 is a gaping doorway to let all kinds of crap into your computer. For your current problem, try booting into safe mode by tapping F8 as the computer starts up. Just hit it repeatedly until you see a menu with some boot options on it. Select Safe Mode. Once you're in, you can try probably try and find the program causing the problem. Check the startup folder in the All Programs list. There are other programs that can help you see what is starting up when your computer boots. If you can, get McAfee's STINGER (<a href="http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/" target="_blank">http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/</a>) or other stand-alone virus scanner on a disk and run it. (You generally can't install programs in safe mode.)Unfortunately, in the end, you're probably not going to be able to find the problem on your own.
