Hi guys. Do any of you have the old (well, not TOO old) AD&D boxed set that features the Tomb of Damara and another adventure featuring a haunted house?

It came with a few plastic minis and an audio cd and was designed as an introduction for new players.

Anyway, would it be possible for someone to scan the map of the Tomb of Damara adventure. I don't mean the poster. There is a small picture of it in the book.

I'm planning on converting this game to 3rd Ed and running a group of newbies through it.

Damara as in Forgotten Realms? Are you sure? The only adventures I remember there are the Bloodstone series.

Or are you talking about those two Mystara adventures that were released right after they turned it into an AD&D world? One of them was called Night of the Vampire - might that have been the haunted house adventure you're refering to?

Or are talking about something which apparently I know nothing about, in which case, I'll shut up now?

Dave,

LOL...the latter.... :)

It's a dungeon in the 2E "Intro to AD&D" boxed set. It included mini-versions of the PHB, DMG, and MM along with a CD, a couple of adventures, plastic mini's and dice. Kind of like an old Basic Set.

I think thats the case. :D

Never does it actually say the words "Forgotten Realms" but it has a temple of Lathander in it and takes place in the small town of Freedale.

Oddly enough, the local wizard is named Netheril. I'm not sure what they where trying to accomplish, but they took pieces of the Realms and dropped them into the game.

Have you got it Jeff? Would you mind scanning that pic for me?

Actually... it does mention the Realms. In the second chapter of the DMG or something I think. It mentions that Freedale is a tiny little village probably in Shadowdale (not Shadowdale Town) by the looks of the map. This box set was actually one of the reasons why I bought the revised FR box set back in the day. So this is sort of set in the Forgotten Realms.

:) indeed. As promised, I'll shut up now.

Alas I do not have the item in question...I bought the boxed set back in 1995 or 1996 when I was trying to get back into D&D after a 12 year layoff...I ended up taking it back to the store for credit...I don't remember why..something was wrong with it...didn't have all the books maybe...

Interestingly enough I WILL have it again next week..I am the winner of the auction you posted a link for! what a Co-inky-dink! (I never looked at your link when I read the post...I'd been watching the item for a couple of days prior to your thread!)

Unfortunately, I do not have a scanner or access to one..at least that I know of...

JeffB :)
