I have been toying with this concept for a long time. It is somewhat inspired by Gimli in the LOTR movies. If you ever noticied Gimil in the movies,(or at least the minatures), carries a huge amount of axes. He has a double headed Great Axe, a Single Headed "Walking stick" Axe, and numerous Hand and Throwing Axes. I want this Axe Master to be in the same vein, having and using Throwing, Dwarven War, Great, and a axe with reach,(or just a Glaive). Featwise I came up with this progression. Thoughts on how to optimize it are much welcomed. Level Feats ________________________________________________________ 1 Axe Focus Two Weapon Fighting (Dwarf Fighter Substitution Level) 2 Shielded Axe Style (Houseruled to work w/ any axe) (Feat acts like Improved Buckler Defense, only w/ 2 axes) 3 Power Attack ________________________________________________________ 4 Weapon Specialization (Dwarven War Axe) 6 Oversize Two Weapon Fighting Quickdraw 8 Melee Weapon Mastery (slashing) 9 Ranged Weapon Mastery (slashing) ________________________________________________________ 10 Greater Weapon Focus (Dwarven War Axe) 12 Two Weapon Rend Greater Weapon Spec (DWA) 14 Shield Specialization (buckler) 15 Shield Ward ____________________________________________________________ 16 ???????????? 18 Weapon Supremacy 20 ????????? _________________________________________________________ So by 8th Level this character is +3 to hit with any axe in Melee, and +4 damage with a War Axe from Feats Alone. At 9th level level He can throw a Throwing Axe 30', or any slashing ranged weapon. At 12th level This character is +4 to hit +6 Damage with War Axes, and +3 to hit and +2 damage to any other Axe. More than likely this character is Throwing Axes or Attacking with a reach weapon as they slowly close with an enemy, and then Two Weapon fighting with a Dwarven Great Axe in each hand, hopefuly adding some Rend damage here and there. Any thoughts on what should be changed, or what should be added?
