Help w/Greyhawk cultural traits

kobold

First Post
I plan on a similar post on Canonfire once they let me in.
I've been going over my Living Greyhawk and original Box set, and finding little or nothing on the cultures of the various lands.
Here's what I'm trying to do. I want to list in quick one or two word phrases, list cultural descriptors. Short lists of typical personality traits, abilities everyone in the culture should know, etc. For example:
Rovers of the Barrens: proud, run long and fast, incredible endurance, wasteland survival, hate Iuz, barbaric
This is just an example, with a little thought and a re-read of the rovers I might come up with something completely different.
Is there anywhere that might have similar info, or can you help with your own thoughts?
Thanks in advance for the help

There were old articals in DragonMagazine that described the rovers as sort of an anology to American Plains Indians. I know thats not much, but thats all I can remember right now.

The Rovers are Flan which has been decribed as a mix between Celtic and Native American cultures. I suggest downloading the 2e Players Guide to Greyhawk .pdf from SV games. It has a good description and write up of the different cultures in Greyhawk. The post on Canonfire should give you some good feedback. WOTC Greyhawk board has been active as of late too. The Players Guide doesnt have a lot of rules stuff in it so the background and role playing tips are still valid. I like the optional rules for Flan and Rhenne PC's in the guide.

Dragon #315 and #319 have the regional feats of Greyhawk which had some good 3e flavor too.

The Rovers where just off the top of my head, I would love to see most or all the entries in Greyhawk this way (whishful thinking).
As most of the Greyhawk books mention the sub-races of humankind as being to mixed to matter at this point I don't think this is what I'm lookng for. Although I did think about this route at first.
With the Players Guide to Greyhawk does it break down the cultures into areas like Keoland and the Sterich or is it just Flan, Suel etc.?
Thanks for all the quick responses
