I just really want to stay away from law with her. I see what your getting at... But a cause can be chaotic, or evil. For example, our first game is tomorrow night, and one of the villians is an Orc Cleric of Unlanor that is fighting to recover land taken from his people by humans. He is going about this as a campaighn of terror... Basically creating Chaos in the boarder towns... He has a cause, and he is bent on destruction! Plus it brings to the forefront Unlanor's dual nature for my PC... Here is what I have so far... The Revision... 8 ) Unlanor: Symbol: A Halberd splitting a sword in two pieces Names: Maiden of Battle, Lady War AL: N Followers AL: LN, NG, N, NE, CN Portfolio: War, Negotiation, Balance and Causes Domains: Destruction, Strength, War, Protection Favored Weapon: “Unlanor’s Wraith” (Halberd) Churches: Contrary to common belief, Unlanor does not take pleasure in War; she simply sees it as the great equalizer. People will take up arms to fight for what they think is right, and they need a patroness. As a result Unlanor’s following is widespread. Unlanor’s “Churches” are different from most religions. Spread throughout the world, her followers tend to be soldiers and diplomats, with no global hierarchy. However, powerful Clerics of Unlanor build armies in her name. They then travel around the world taking sides in battle as their leaders see fit. Sometimes these army’s serve a Nation, but as often as not they serve an ideal or cause. It is not uncommon for two or more armies of Unlanor to meet on opposite sides of one conflict. The winning army in these situations tends to gain prestige from this type of victory, and often takes their victory as a sign of Unlanor’s favor. Even though this may or may not be the case. Some Nation's armies are also led by by Cleric's of Unlanor, under the control of the government. These armies are often the best lead forces in a nation. Diplomats tend to attach themselves to a government, and make that nation’s cause their own. They are staunch defenders of their nation’s citizens, and social structures. A few Diplomats also travel around the world negioating for pay. These Diplomats are highly sought after for thier impartial judgements, and their striving to get the best settlement for all parties. On the battlefield Unlanor promotes the "Fair" fight in terms of weapons. While this does not mean she will directly aid an outnumber force... Her followers will directly attack, and make an effort to destroy, magic users, clavery, siege weapons, etc. if one side has them, and the other does not. Initiates of Unlanor often receive training in Religious Knowledge from their community religious leaders, in whatever god those leaders serve. As a potential servant gains in this knowledge, Unlanor tests them on their beliefs through dreams, if found to be unsuitable, nothing else comes of these dreams, and the person has no memory of having the dreams at all. However, if Unlanor is pleased by the person’s views of the world and the person shows a desire to become her servant, the dreams become more and more elaborate. If the choice is no, their memory of the dreams instantly disappears. Every cleric of Unlanor that accepts can describe their dream training until the day that they die. With this training complete the new Cleric normally strikes out into the world. Looking for their cause, or their place in the natural order. They still have many lessons to learn about their new faith, and some do not live through it. Some do, and find that they cannot accept the dual nature that is the Goddess of War.
