I have a group of players whose characters' I ran through LMoP and then we proceeded with a series of adventures tying in with their back-stories. About mid-way through, my son brought in an air genasi druid, leaving his dwarf barbarian 'in the wings.' Now he has made it clear that his druid deserves a back story adventure too... the group is currently level 10. I have a couple of reoccurring evil mages that I can use as baddies - the party has thwarted their plans twice, but both times they have managed to escape. Besides the obvious revenge angle, there should be something else driving these two, but I'm hitting roadblocks. I'm leaning toward having the genasi character's parents kidnapped by the two mages. At this point I'm not sure whether I want to A) use the parents as bait for some nefarious fetch quest (they know of some ruins nearby that could be used and I already have maps made for it) B) use the parents as part of an elemental/blood magic sacrifice (requiring 6 more genasi, 2 of each type) that is used to power an artifact. c) just jump into Princes of the Apocalypse around about Chapter 5. Option C would probably require the least work by me, but I would I would need a convincing hook for the character. Any thought or ideas? I'm not in a huge time crunch - we put these characters on hold while we are running HotDQ & RoT.
