help with my weasel familiar

I have a sorcerer with a weasel familiar. I would like to use him more for delivering my touch attacks. However, I am a bit scared that he is going to get nailed in the process. He must enter the opponent's square to hit to deliver the touch. He has good climb, balance, hide and a decent move silently. What can I do to get over this fear of losing my familiar in the course of battle?

Also, what other familiar strategies, specifically for a weasel, are out there?

Well, using your familiar in this way will always involve a certain risk, so a certain amount of fear is recommended

Anyway, there's a feat in PHB2 'Combat Familiar' that will prevent the familiar from provoking AOOs for entering an opponent's space if it's holding the charge for a touch spell.

In the same book there's a follow-up feat 'Lurking Familiar' that allows the familiar to hide in your square.
