[QUOTE="Sandain, post: 1788319, member: 19306"] Hello, I would like some ideas about the Suel Empire. Below is a brief outline of the timeframe of where my campaing currently is. My Greyhawk campaing is set long ago before the twin cataclysm's and Vecna's rise to power. Eastern Oerth is dominated by the Elves and Demi-humans with a few exceptions - such as the migrating Flan, and Iggwilv's territory in what is modern day Perrenland. This is how the Suel empire is during this time; 3247 SD The years of Conquest and Prosperity begin. No major foe opposes the might of the empire of the Suloise, although they do not push Eastward, because of some fear of the Elven hosts. Magic is rigorously pursued. Old Grey Elven texts are discovered and studied. The might and haughtiness of the Elves is copied in manner in the courts. But their wisdom is not... Slavery becomes common and widespread in the Suloise lands, this continues for many centuries. The Flanae in the southeast (just west of the Hellfurnaces), the Oerid to the east, the Kersi (the long distant descendants of those who first sailed from AnaKeri) to the south, and the Bakluni to the north, and several unnamed small tribes to the west all fall under the grip of the Suloise fist. The entire of the western half of Oerik, is controlled by the Suel. But the drow and darker forces, and a fear of other elves, halt the eastern expansion. In Eastern Oerth young Vecna has been a good behaviour hostage and has just returned home for a visit, in which his father died and he now controls the Ur-Flan tribe. He is currently studying the Book of Tilorop and has built his black tower in the Nyr Dyv. He has been a good leader and has bought about the defeat of a major giant threat to his tribe (G1-4 Against the Giants). However Elves and Ur-Flan are on the brink of war since it was secretely told to them about Vecna's theft of the book and the increasing warlike nature of the Flan and thier alliances with humanoid tribes. This is year 440 Flan Time. The group is travelling to the Suloise Empire and I need ideas of how thier cities are, manner of dress, architecture, kinds of things thed find in a magic rich society dominated by slaving cruel nobles for the most part. There are 2 goodly aligned Suloise great houses, and one neutral one from memory. Currently I am thinking of Warhammer 40k/Chronicles of Riddick type gothic barroque scenery and dress. I'd like some memorable NPC ideas, a few locations, some modules I can use or adapt etc. Thanks a lot for any help!
