About time they stopped doing that for the two parters! And I'm jolly glad for digital BBC3, because Dr Who is on when I'm putting my littlies to bed, see, and so I set the video to record. After one week when they overran by a minute and I lost the end of the wolfman one, I set this to go on for 15 minutes over time, just to be on the safe side. Because of a stupid football overrun, that meant that my video had recorded only the first half hour of Dr Who. Grrrrrr. Still, I got to see it on Sunday night, and for me: Best thing about the episode - Mickey/Rickey. I thought the actor played the two roles very credibly, and I like the gradual changes that are being made in the part. I thought his discussion with his Grandma was great too, not to mention his realisation about the carpet. Worst thing about the episode - how on earth did they get surrounded by foes who can't even manage a brisk walk? It should have been pretty simple for them to do an end run around one of the lines of cybermen. I like the visual design of the cybermen, but I can't help thinking they would have been more formidable foes if they were quick moving too. Strong and lumbering is like the old-world daleks. Plus I had a couple of plot related questions - like a) if the cybermen told the partygoers that they were to be taken for processing, why did they start killing all of them after the presidents resistance? Didn't seem in keeping with their orders as originally expressed (unless that is the problem with using down and outs for your cybermen?) b) we've already seen that Lumic can 'override' the people with earpieces, let alone cause them to stop for a download. It would have made much more sense for him to have 'frozen' all the party goers and then the cybermen just carry them off to the processing centre. Why wouldn't he do that? Cheers
