Let's see from what I remembered.... It's been millennia after God Emperor Dune, which was referred to as the Famine Times and then the scattering. Leto II destroyed humanity's dependence on spice, and broke them out of stasis set by the old imperium, by forcing most of humanity to become refugees fleeing all over space by being a (benevolent) tyrant. Heretics of Dune, some people are returning from the scattering on the run from "the enemy". Among them is the Honored Matres a Bene Gesserit offshoot, that's conquering most of the known worlds. The HM are going after the Bene Gesserit and the Tleilaxu. So the Tleilaxu and BG are trying to work together, meanwhile there's some girl named Sheeana on Arrakis who can talk to worms. Duncan Idaho is back again (remember he's the Kenny of Dune), and the BG have this military commander Miles Teg who's important later on. The BG are desperate and attempt to take in Sheeana, meanwhile Duncan Idaho runs into Murbella of the HM, and they end up becoming a couple as Murbella is captured/defects to the BG. And then the HM destroy Arrakis (but not before the BG take a sandworm), and send the BG running to their hidden world which can't be seen by prescient vision. Well that's mostly it, but other things happen too. As confusing as that novel might have been, it's probably easier than God Emperor to make into a miniseries, since most of God Emperor was just two people talking.
