Hmm...seems like they've 'dummied down' the writing style quite a bit, but the underlying rules look much the same. Apparantly its going to be a fairly thick book. I dont know how crazy I am about that; one of the things I like about 4th Edition Hero's is the conciseness. Not much fluff, lots of mechanix.
What Im looking forward to seeing is if the mega powers made it or got cut.
I also notice that they added a 'Touch' sense group. The lack of one bit me in the ass once upon a time when one of my characters, an assassin, with a fully invisible poisoned mini-dart attack almost got flushed out because the target could feel what direction the attack was coming from; fortunately the persistent effect of the many darts I dumped into him while he beat the bushes looking from me accumulated to take him down right after he finally found my assassin. The GM at the time (who I mentored in the HERO System in the first place) cheerfully pointed out that there was no 'Touch Group' to be invisible too, which I thought was pretty specious logic, but couldnt refute by-the-letter.
