Hero of Faith

So, there's this new Avenger multi-class feat in Divine Power, called Hero of Faith.

Just like the existing Avenger MC feat, Disciple of Divine Wrath, it grants Oath of Enmity as an encounter power, but unlike the existing feat, it lasts until the end of the encounter but cannot be regained...

So, seeing how the Avenger is all about the Oath of Enmity, I figured this new feat alone would basically make the class nigh-obsolete. Sure you don't have it all the time, but once per encounter for the full encounter is usually plenty when you really need it (against that nasty elite or solo) even if it doesn't refresh when the target dies.

So, I was thinking I'd make it a daily instead of 1/encounter for the Hero of Faith feat - still lasts for a full encounter, and still cannot be regained. What do people think about this change?

It's an improvement but in my opinion not enough. The feat is simply a really, really bad call on somebody's part. It's not like the Avenger doesn't have other class features which could be interesting to use instead.

Try:

Armoured in Faith (Avenger Multiclass) - Wis 13 - Once per encounter you may invoke the Avenger's Armour of Faith feature as a minor action - you gain +3 to AC while not wearing heavy armour or using a shield. This bonus lasts until the end of your next turn but may be sustained as a minor action.

Censor of Pursuit (Avenger Multiclass) - Wis 13, Dex 13 - You gain training in Acrobatics or Endurance. In addition, you gain the Avenger's Censure of Pursuit class feature, and once per encounter you may use the Avenger's Oath of Enmity class feature without the reroll portion of this feature.

Censor of Retribution (Avenger Multiclass) - Wis 13, Int 13 - You gain training in Athletics or Intimidate. In addition, you gain the Avenger's Censure of Retribution class feature, and once per encounter you may use the Avenger's Oath of Enmity class feature without the reroll portion of this feature.

Censor of Unity (Avenger Multiclass) - Wis 15 - You gain training in Heal or Religion. In addition, you gain the Avenger's Censure of Unity class feature, and once per encounter you may use the Avenger's Oath of Enmity class feature without the reroll portion of this feature.

(Add "And you may use Avenger implements" as desired to any or all of the above. You may as well grant it, since gaining access to holy symbols for Avenger powers is hardly overpowered.)
