This caused some problems, as he had no way to learn to fly. So, he did it the hard way. Raan stole a speeder and flew it across the Corellian grasslands. It crashed, but he'd at least had the intention of bringing it back. The tactic of stealing a speeder, flying it, and bringing it back was how he taught himself to fly.By the time his piloting skills were noticed by anyone, he was sixteen. The Emperor had been killed at Endor a year earlier. Corellia was still occupied by the Empire, but a large amount of the newly named New Republic force was still on the planet. Through this, he got a job flying supply freighters for the New Republic. At only eighteen, he was given a spot in a newly created starfighter squadron, the Zephyrs.The young, brown haired and blue eyed Raan couldn't pass this up, and soon found that life as a pilot was not all the fun it was cut out to be. As young as he was, Raan was forced to be an adult much faster than what would be normal. Whether that was a good thing or not, he still isn't sure of.</blockquote>
