I disagree. They said they had several episodes written where Sylar and Candice (Missy's character) travel together. However, that had to be hastily rewritten into him killing her in one episode (and then she couldn't even appear for that). Given, however, the chemistry that the two characters had in the brief scenes they did share, I think that would have been much more entertaining to see. But it does explain why things didn't get better as much as they could have. Season two did start to improve as time went on, but it never got the chance to really make up for its slow start. Um, what? It's extremely helpful from a "we watched the season and found these problems" manner, since in his announcement he identified what specifically didn't work and why, promising to fix those problems in the next season. I honestly don't understand a lot of the hatred I'm seeing for the show. Yes, it's imperfect, but people really seem to get worked up over its failures, despite the fact that it's succeeded more often than it's failed. The characters and plot are still really interesting, and the way it tells its stories works. But again and again, people seem to say how a single character just ruins the show for them, or how after season two (which was half of a normal season, had problems that have since been fixed, and was still pretty good at the end) has convinced them never to watch the show again. I don't see why people seem to take every misstep Heroes makes so personally.
