Hey Erica...

Andrew D. Gable

First Post
I'm writing up a monster book(s) of monsters from real-world folklore, which I may get published somehow (likely through Natural 20). Anyhow...what I was wondering is, could I (pretty please :D) use the conversion of the brollachan/boneless off of your CoC site? I can even specifically exclude the critter from the OGC content if you want, so that I don't get the credit for your work.

Now, I'm not saying for 100% certain that I will get it published for certain, but I just figured that in the event I do I should have all my bases covered.

Thanks!

Section 6 of the OGL:

"6.Notice of License Copyright: You must update the COPYRIGHT NOTICE portion of this License to include the exact text of the COPYRIGHT NOTICE of any Open Game Content You are copying, modifying or distributing, and You must add the title, the copyright date, and the copyright holder's name to the COPYRIGHT NOTICE of any original Open Game Content you Distribute."

So, if Erica released the stuff as OGC, just insert something like what's below in Section 15 of your OGL at the end of the book and everything should be cool:

"Brollachan/Boneless ©2002 Erica Balsley"

Very true, but it was nice of him to ask :)

Oh, and Andrew, if Erica has released it as OGC already you couldn't exclude it from your OGC, because using the OGL everything based on OGC is OGC by definition...

I think :)

I completely agree Sam. Though not required, I think it goes a long way in showing "coolness" when you ask someone to use their OGC.

Email me. I have a version of the Brollachan that is more suitable for DnD. I adapted my DnD Brollachan for CoC.
