Animal growth on a roc? Now that's just silly. With my augment summoning, we're talking a grapple check of +37 (base) +4 (increased size) +4 (increased str from animal growth) +2 (augment summoning bonus), or +47. Oh yeah--ain't nobody escaping from my bird! It could easily pick someone up in one claw, take the -20 grappling penalty in order to keep attacking wtih the other talon and bite, and still have the enemy pinned. Nifty. Hyp, those are some good ideas for improving my AC. I was actually looking at tortoise shell last night in Complete Divine; but I don't own the book and am unlikely to be buying new gaming books any time soon. In any case, our party has got two excellent melee fighters, so I'm really trying to focus on extending my abilities into the other realms, the blaster and summoner and battlefield control. That said, dinosaurs are definitely an option: a T-Rex sure looks like fun, and I look forward to turning into one at the earliest opportunity :D. I was flipping through Magic of Faerun yesterday and ran across the Bombardment spell, an eighth-level druid spell that causes rocks to fall on and bury opponents. It does 1d8 points of damage/level ("Maximum 10d8) and buries targets until they spend a full-round action climbing forth. It looks like a great idea for a spell (and really in keeping with my earth-magic theme), but that damage seems bogus. Why would you have a spell that can be cast at minimum level 15 do 1d8 damage/level, max 10d8? Why not just say it does 10d8 damage? I looked at MaoF errata, but there's none for this spell. Has it appeared in any 3.5 materials, and if so, is it better written than this? Daniel
