High Strength Knockback in d20M?

shadowlight

First Post
In d20 Modern there aren't any rules for modelling knock-back when a very high strength creature hits a PC. (ex: a werebear punches a goblin: that Str:28 should probably send it flying!)

Has anyone seen any d20 Modern rules or have house rules for this?

Thanks!

Chuck Rice's Blood and Vigilance, a superhero add-on for d20 Modern, has a nice system for knockback resulting from a big hit. Essentially 'x' amount of damage forces a save, with the difference between the failed roll and the DC indicating the distance you are thrown. I liked it so much I use it for powerful explosions *and* being hit by really big things.

Interesting...
So is the DC the same as the damage?
Is there some threshold above which you use the knockback rule?

Thanks!

Well, I would post up all the particulars but it's Charles Rice's work and not OGL, and I'd hate to give away his stuff without permission (which is why I was intentionally vague there) because he's such a nice guy and a great game designer.

Maybe he'll happen along this thread sometime (he posts as Vigilance).
