I think this is the least inappropriate forum for this.
It is a very surreal feeling to be trolled, harassed, and otherwise annoyed and inconvenienced by an actual monster. In this case, a serial child rapist.

That's why I used the "Hitler cuts you off in traffic" analogy. Because I fully believe all of his accusers, Matt McFarland is an actual monster who has hurt a lot of people in much more serious ways. That he has surfaced after shuttering his company in February just to hate on me is...like I said, surreal.
The first thing I want to make clear is that I fully understand that Matt's harming me in ways NOWHERE NEAR as serious as the sexual assaults he allegedly committed. But I don't like the fact that he's still in a position to hurt anyone, at all, in anyway. I mean, to be honest, I don't even like the fact he's not in prison or dead.

Here is that dummy account's "review" of my debut novel.
Q: Devon, how are you so sure that this is a "fake" review written by a dummy account, or that it's specifically Matt McFarland?
A: The account has taken two community actions ever, one to write the attack on my book, and another to vote it as helpful. The account has no profile picture associated with it. Most Amazon reviews, positive or negative, or one or two lines: this review was essay length. To me, those things are entirely enough evidence that it's a dummy account created by SOMEONE to post an unfair attack
Q: But how do you know it's Matt McFarland?
A: Well, besides the fact he has ample motive (I had beef with this guy even before it came out that he was raping children), I feel certain it's Matt McFarland (or his yeti of a wife, who covered for his crimes for years, or one of his agents) because the dummy account is in Ohio, where they live (I've been to his house), and because I recognize the bastard's writing style. My favorite part is the absolute zenith of human hypocrisy that occurs when the serial child rapist calls me out for tropes in my story involving an underaged girl. WOW. JUST WOW. Why couldn't the Cold War have ended the world in a nuclear holocaust like everyone predicted?
Hence: Hitler has cut ME off in traffic. What do?

Post-Script: I have been fighting Amazon Author Central, Customer Service, Vendor Support, and Communities for days now to get this "review" taken down and if it had been by now I probably would have let the entire incident pass without public commentary. But Amazon is a multi-headed megacorporate hydra of staggering incompetence and it seems clear that they are not going to resolve this issue until they feel the acid rain of bad PR drip-dropping on their heads.
