hmm. i'm creating an 11 character who has inherited a 25th lvl wizard's house.

First Post
This character is an 6th lvl Ranger/5th lvl elf with the god-child template (my creation).
Her mother is a 25th level wizard who left her a house and a medium sized valley when she went off to be with her mate, the deity Naralis Analor, who dwells in Amoria.
Now, what would be this characters wealth and how many magical items would she have? the house magical items she couldn't take with her as being too bulky (how would you transport a chest of holding or an entire alchemists lab? lol)
also as far as weapons and armor go,what would be the base armor bonus?
i would go with stuff like +3 composite longbows, +3 daggers etc as the maxium.

You should ask your DM, otherwise just pick whatever you think is appropriate. A carpet of flying sounds useful off the top of my head.

ty.

this character is mostly for fun and experimenting 3.5 rules. i doubt very seriously any dm would consider letting me play her. it's like godborn?! are you kiddin? (i have a perfectly good 3.0 1st lvl ranger for that ^_^).

Well if its just for your fun, give her what ever she wants. :p Her father is a god after all.

lol point taken

but i am seriously wondering what an actual 11th level character would have in the way of magical items. like the power level of weapons etc. (i might be doing a serious 11th lvl character later so it would be useful to know.
gah. i'm going about this all wrong sowwy....

According to the DMG an 11th lvl character should have 66,000 gp in possessions. Considering this one has a house (esp. one owned by a 25th lvl Mrs. Deity :D) and a medium-sized valley, I think she's already over that limit ;)

But if you're considering the official wealth levels and basing power level of individual items off that, a good rule of thumb is that no single magical item owned can be worth more than 50% of the total wealth. So this character wouldn't have any single weapon worth more than 33,000 gp (which is just about what a +4 weapon costs).

lol thanks. that would work (especially if a lot of her weapons were ummm liberated.

skip the part about the god-born character, since i know no dm in his or her right mind would let me play her. (imaging the face of the dm i would hand the character to. whoot! :p )

it is useful to know what a med-high level character would typically own.
i was going for +3 weapons etc. ^_^ thankies for the info... mebbe this thread should be closed or deleted now that i have my answer......

*bows and leaves offerings in the al-mighty moderator gods.....

from what I recal you have wealth equal to the equivalent character level you are. So if that template is a +10 LA (just kicking a number around as I have no idea what it might be) then you would have equipment as a 21st level character. Bit of a difference there.

very true

basically, the godborn template is something like the celestial or half-celestial template, only they have access to the 5 clerical spells per level coresponding their parent deity spheres. those spells would have to be approved by the dm.

the character in question's father is Naralis Analor, a deity who's main spheres include healing/good/sun. so her spell-like abilities are heavy on the healing, protection and light: such as heal, create food/water, endure elements and the like.

hmmm 66000/11 is about 6,000 gp.
so during an average adventure, a character should get around 6,000gp per level. depending of course on the dm in question. %)%
