HOHF: Gnomes?

Has anyone heard if this is going to be delayed by the 3.5 changes to gnomes?

Paging Wulf. Do you have an expected date for this yet? Your website still says June 2003.

Given the Badaxe philosophy, that must be a major rewrite.

I hate it for you, bud. Rest assured I'll be purchasing once available. :)

Edit: Though it occurs to me you could get some other milage out of the illusionist-based gnome stuff. What's the plan for those? Web release? Future product?

We can hope!

Looking forward to HoHF:Halflings and I'll take my gnomes whenever I get them. :)

Damn! I was so looking forward to being able to use both the Quintessential Gnome and HOHF: Gnomes for my tinker gnome alchemist...

Wulf, could you give us at least a little preview of the content? Table of contents, names of new PrCs and feats, that sort of thing? Just so you can steal some customers away from Quintessential Gnome (which AFAIK will be coming out in June...)

"Update: This product has been delayed until the release of revision 3.5 of the SRD to ensure 100% compatibility!"

Does that mean hopefully shortly after 3.5 comes out?

I certainly don't mean to harass you, I am looking forward to more HOHF, especially now while I am playing a gnome.

Wulf, can you tell us how much notice WOTC gave you of the gnome favored class change? If you had a nearly-complete product based on the illusionist gnome then I feel for you too.

And I add my voice to the request for some previews!

Due to a snafu with my NDA, and then waiting on WOTC to make me a copy for my use (they had already sent them all out, after all!), I didn't get my copy of the revised rules until about 3 weeks ago. I'm not blaming anybody, WOTC was very helpful in getting the stuff to me once it became apparent my NDA had been lost in transit.

This delay has a cascading effect on the release of the Anthology as well. When these last two books come out, I have to give them time to sell through before printing the Anthology. It has effectively shelved any thoughts of the Anthology for now and for many months following their release.

A change in the favored class doesn't just impact the prestige classes. It impacts the whole flavor of the race, which leads to questions like, "Why is there such an emphasis on illusions in this book?" It requires a revision of concept for the book.

But, ultimately, I am happy to be able to go back into the book, even if it's practically from scratch. Working with Illusionist as the favored class I felt like I was covering a lot of the same material we had covered for Elves/Wizards. Changing the class to Bard gives me more creative freedom and a chance to present some truly new things.

Sorry to hear it's such a setback for you, Wulf. Then again, it does allow you to differentiate your product better with Gnomes: Masters of Illusion and Quintessential Gnome.

Can you tell us a just a little about the content? I'm particularly interested in alchemy and tinkering, but any tidbits would be welcome. :)
