No, no, you're so cool! Cool like a Peltier cooler module! B-) I think the idea of including humiliation is very apropos of the sort of abuse of power that would emerge in the dark scenario Jago has pitched. However, it could be distinctly uncomfortable to RP. Or it could be wondrously dark. Maybe both. I think Jago mentioned this story as being "Rated R"? But I'm very flexible. Having broken her last lute over Fitz's head after he heckled her works quite well too, as it exemplifies what a curmudgeon he is & the way folks look down on the "Rumpels." Great character background! Yes, that connection between Rana & Fitz works well since they're both LG. He had a chance to fall from the path of being Lawful Good, and Rana buoyed him up and connected him to a larger group. I'm going to draw a shameless comparison between Rana and the DC Comics Television character Claire Temple. Claire basically provides medical care to Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and possibly Iron Fist. I wonder if Rana, as the last magical healer hidden in The City, might fulfill a similar role? Thus providing a way to connect some of our PCs who don't have developed interwoven backgrounds? It could make a really powerful opening adventure hook too Jago - a threat to Rana's medical clinic, bodies disappearing, etc. What if Fitz, clueless about Grandfather's true nature, offered him a little clockwork toy or music box. Maybe, due to the need of the device to receive 1 hour labor to stay functioning every 24 hours, this kept Grandfather (under his current "kid" identity) in touch with Fitz. Grandfather might use the excuse of "getting my toy fixed" to suss out whether Fitz might have a role to play in the great fight that Grandfather is seeking allies in? Just an idea!
