If it fits the character, I am 100% for it. However, don't go chasing waterfalls just because you think the GM demands "party balance" or the like. You folks could all be Rangers, or not have a single Spellcaster, and we'd still have a good game. In fact, that gives me an idea for another game, but that is neither here nor there. Point is, ReSpec if you are not happy with your character: let me worry about party composition, which is already pretty heavily diverse: Barbarian, Fighter-Mage, Healing Cleric, Spell-Focused Druid, Utility Wizard, and Social Bard. As I've said about my GM style before, I generally don't like the idea of "Oh, NOBODY played a Rogue and the highest party perception is a 2? Well guess what, the next dungeon is literally nothing but traps. Reflex Save or 6d4, chums!" Instead, I much more enjoy looking at what the party can bring to the table and then designing interesting scenarios around what is in the realm of possibility for you folks. Doesn't mean every single encounter is fine-tuned to the group, and indeed there may be things that are exceedingly challenging if not impossible to overcome for what the party has available, but the point is, if all of you decided "We're all going to be Fighters", I would not start the "Wis Save Or Die" game. That being said, the Setting does lend itself to a much more brutal and oppressive atmosphere, so I'm not always going to be very fair, either. I love everyone's characters, but I am not above killing off the person who thinks it wise to start attacking Magi Officers whenever they see them. Loving the connections here so far and the stories springing from them. Definitely digging the idea of like Rana's House of Healing and Lorelei's, uhm, "Entertainment Tavern", The Velvet Rose, to be places that the Characters either have met at or routinely frequent in their clandestine activities.
