Now if they have high stats and are in melee a lot then this does play in to there hand, key is to keep it balanced and don't make every fight about melee. Also some creature are not effected by spell effects like this undead for one and some targets just might not under stand the players language or what he is saying. Key thing to remember the game is ran by you the GM not the players let them have fun and make it fun but don't just let them walk though things my game almost everyone is ranged so this will not get used much if in yours there all melee change it up from time to time and hit them in the weak spot. [QUOTE="dwayne, post: 6270143, member: 25437"] It might sound like it is powerful but its all situational so would only come in to play in that case. And as stated only works one if target hears and understands the person and is effected by this type of magic and is a low level spell so DC not very high given average stats for players. This will show them were improvements are needed and that not every thing can be handled at the point of a sword. I like working with a master mind that uses others The game has been on going for a while about 6 months and they have just now have found out that a old one Cthulhu is coming and his agents are calling him they have to stop the ritual. but what they don't know the master mind has been using them by causing them to react and not think about what there doing. right now they have it in there heads that they need to get a book the first bible. But in reality if they just left it there he could not touch it as only an immortal can take it. And thanks to the one player who was sent to get an old key, who I thought would be the one to be imbued with the immortal essence, but turned out to be another. point was he was sent for the key so it could be broken and be infused so that when the group heard about the temple of the first bible they would run and the one person with the power only one would take the book off the pedestal thus full filling the prophecy. Which they will find after words on the wall written by the Tibetan monks. This all leads up to wait I am getting side tracked ok a sniper with a 50 caliber rifle can shoot and hit a person with no trouble is that too powerful no its situational if not in the area it would not happen and can not be done all the time.
