[QUOTE="Shadus, post: 5758752, member: 6682446"] This bland race of Monkey-people was one of the main playable races in the Oriental Adventures books back in the day. While they didn't really standout much, I felt they would be a welcome addition to my setting, and decided to refluff them and give them stats: Vanara: RACIAL TRAITS Average Height: 4´ 3˝–5´ 0˝ Average Weight: 90–130 lb. Ability Scores: +2 Wisdom, +2 Int or Dex Size: Medium Speed: 6 squares Vision: Normal Languages: Common Skill Bonuses: +2 Acrobatics, +2 Bluff Natural Climber: You have a climb speed of 4. Explosive Personality: You can use the Explosive* skill, even if not trained. If trained, you can gain a +2 to Explosive. Versatile Tail: Your tail is able to hold a object up to 20 lb, and can support your own body weight. Monkey Shift: You gain the Monkey Shift Encounter Power. Monkey Shift Encounter+ Move Effect: You shift your speed +2, and can shift through difficult terrain. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Vanara, a race of monkey-like humanoids, are one of the oldest of the mortal races. At times they are childish pranksters and fools, but other times they are wise beyond their years. These dual-natures may seem odd to others, however a Vanara see it as two sides of the same coin. Their ultimate goal is to improve the lives of others. Weather they choose to enlighten or simply bring a smile to someone's face are just two different ways to do the same thing. Their body is almost completely covered in rough bunches hair. Only their face, hands and feet are exposed. Hair color varies from sky blue, reddish brown, and shades of black and white. Vanara tend to support the old religion, and enjoy peace with nature and the primal spirits. However, some have turned on tradition and embrace the Dragon Kami. This divide has torn families apart.
