Its like they automatically get a low roll on their percentile dice, resulting in to hit/dmg. bonuses of +1/+3 whereas male fighters could potentially reach +3/+6.The "penalties" or limitations for female demi-humans were far worse. A male gnome had access to the same 18/50 that a female human did. But a female gnome? 15 max.!I know this is pretty far off-thread, but since I went and put my foot in it, I thought I'd own up to my mistake and share the result of my research. I also remember reading an article in SR or the Dragon somewhere about encumbrance as it relates to female characters, saying that it had to be proportionate to body-weight, so that even though women didn't get a Strength penalty a woman still couldn't carry as much as a man with the same Strength. But that would have been OD&D.</blockquote>
