Hopefully not flameworthy questions

First Post
I have a rules question for my D&D 3.5E/d20Modern crossover game, and I want to clarify something. I really hope this doesn't turn into a flame war or anything. I'm trying hard to avoid any questions that might cause people to start arguing.

So here's the situation:

I've got a ranger3/sorc6 in the middle of a BoEF Sacred Brothel when the other PCs, namely a half-orc paladin and a half-elf fighter, come in to attack me, and I want to use a machine-gun and autofire on the half-orc, which doesn't work because his AC is all armor and it should be DR instead even if half-orcs are still weak, and then I want to step in and punch the half-elf for d20 Modern nonlethal damage with my off-hand, preferably using Power Attack, except that it doesn't work with light weapons anymore and that makes nonlethal damage totally worthless, and the half-orc said that he detected evil in me because I was in a brothel but I don't think that's an evil action and all the alignment stuff is dumb, and the half-elf only got his Sense Motive score that high because the DM gave him another skill point per level because he thinks half-elves got nerfed, and I think I should have a bonus to hit because TWF is still weak even on the ranger's new class path, and I'd like to purchase services from the brothel as a free action using the d20 Modern Wealth System, but my DM said I couldn't do it even if I used my boots of hasting since they're totally nerfed now, and the potion of Strength I drank only has a minute/level duration, and I think that I should have more skill points in order to roleplay instead of rollplaying.

Thanks for your advice, and thanks in advance for keeping this civil and not letting any hot topics get people all annoyed.

Have some cheese with that whine.

So, you got some minor complaints. I agree that the half-orc could use more perks, and in my campaign I allow them a +2 racial bonus on climbing and intimidation. But to think you need more skill points to role-play rather than roll-play? What are you thinking? You can role-play on 0 skill points because role-playing is all in the player and not the numbers on the paper.

And purchasing brothel services as a FREE action? Free actions take effectively no time. Do you mean by purchase that you negotiate a price with the pimp? Put the money on the counter? Or is that the limit of your *ahem* stamina? I wouldn't argue that last one down to a free action if I were you. Besides, something like brothel services had better not be tracked as combat time anyway and that's the only time when free, standard, and full actions really need to be tracked anyway.

Takyris, you got NERFED but you forgot a Got the Shaft ;)

He's in a brothel. I think that we know who... *remembers Eric's Grandmother* well, you get the point.

If you look at his post, and the character he's playing:
It's the Ranger, as usual :)

And I thought 3.5 had upped him adequately ;)

How is it that Eric and Moruss, living on opposite sides of the Atlantic, both ended up with the same grandmother? Its just uncanny how that worked out. ;-)
