Are you familiar with the DragonLance mythos? One of my PCs had the same background. When the party met an Ancient Dragon (in Rise of Tiamat), he took in a good whiff of the group's scent, and for the rest of the encounter addressed the ex-dragon and only the ex-dragon. He spoke of everybody else in the group in the third person. He called the ex-dragon "Canary". As in (just after the Archer Ranger got a crit with an Arrow of Dragon Slaying) "WHEEZE COUGH HACK I see you brought a competent archer with you, Canary. It won't matter in the end because I will still destroy you all. I should save him for second-last, as a complement. You, Canary, I will allow to observe how a true dragon deals with our lessers." Talk with your DM about how to integrate this into the campaign. - You have strange dreams, sometimes they are all too vivid - flying through the sky, settling cozily upon a hoard of coins, swooping down upon a flock of sheep for a tasty bite of meat, attacking a band of (would-be) dragon hunters with breath and tail and claw. - You want to climb trees to get a higher view of the situation; being down on the ground and looking at the scene is so confining. - Once in a while you think you should be able to finish off the enemy(-ies) solo. - Describe your top-end magical attack as a breath weapon: "I go 'HHhhhhoooo' and cast Witch Bolt." - Irrational desire to get a pair of armored gloves with a dagger attached, to replace the claws that aren't on your hands. - You scope out underground places for their potential as a future lair, when this current life-phase of wandering is completed. - Much like a Paladin, you will stand between the weak / helpless / innocent and those who would cause them harm. Being a sorcerer, you prefer to do so when the bad guys are at some little distance. - Everybody else puts his GP into a coin purse. YOU sew / glue them inside your (thermal underwear -like) shirt, placed like overlapping scales. - You want to be recognized and acknowledged and agreed with by Good-alignment Dragons; it feels in-natural and wrong for them to argue with you. - You don't want to cooperate with Giants, it's like Hatfields and McCoys to you, but you won't provoke a needless fight. - You like to just listen to songbirds, especially yellow ones. You keep thinking you used to understand their words. - Get a Whip and use its range. Always turn away from your target; the Whip is your 'tail'.
