RPG.net is holding a Horror Review Week this October, and everyone's invited to participate. Prizes are being awarded for the best reviews, publishers are offering comped products for reviewing, and everyone stands to have a great time! All horror media related reviews are welcome, and as always you're free to post reviews to other websites as well.

If you're a publisher of a horror game, someone interested in reviewing, or just a reader who wants to hear more about a wide variety of horror games then please take a moment to learn more here.

I don't suppose someone could copy & paste the highlights of it, for the benefit of those of us that are uh, banned from RPG.net (and thus unable to read threads there), but still allowed to post reviews there? (Ie, me at least, and probably a couple others).

I've been busy writing something else, but I have a half-finished review of an old B13 module I can probably finish quickly.

The information over at RPGNet is pretty much identical to what was posted here, although there are a few publishers offering comps over there in replies to the thread. (Can't you just kill your cookies and look at the thread in question?)

One of the publishers offering comps, though, is Dream Machine Productions. We're interested in getting people to review our two horror-related products:

Complex of Zombies - A D20 mini-adventure.
Mythos Audio Library 1: Call of Cthulhu - An audiobook available in CD and MP3.

If you're interested, drop a line to the publisher at justin@thealexandrian.net to request a comp copy. In exchange, you just have to agree to have a review written before the end of October (preferably to be posted during the Horror Review Week).

Sure thing, though you should still be able to read TRO (clearing cookies should do it). Below is the introductory post and the prize post, which will hopefully answer any questions. Various publishers are offering comped products in return for reviews. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask! :)

The week of October 15th is Horror Review Week here at RPG.net. Whether it's about the latest World of Darkness game, Chill 1st edition, or anything else in your collection we want your reviews! Take a few minutes, write up a review, and send it in before October 15th to participate in the event! Just be sure to put "Horror Week" in the title so we know what it's for!

Are you a publisher of a horror game who wants to help out? Post here, let your fans know about the event, and consider special promotions! If you would like to donate to the horror week prize pool, please contact me by PM or at cwricheson AT gmail DOT com.

Never written a review before? Check out my guide to RPG reviewing for some tips!

Nothing to say about horror RPGs? You can still join the fun! Submit a review of a horror book, comic, movie, game, DVD, TV series, or anything else and we'll include it in the Wednesday update!

As with Sci-Fi Week, Horror Week will feature prizes donated by various kind sponsors for the best reviews. More details on those prizes will appear in a future thread update.

Here it is folks, the current prize list for horror week. If I missed an offered donation, or you would like to donate, please just drop me a PM. This is an impressive list of donations, and to all the authors and publishers who have chosen to participate: Thanks!

(I know, I could kill the cookies but that sort of violates the spirit of the ban, IMHO, and also if you are logged in, it remembers you when you submit reviews, and I can never remember my password and it's a hassle to find it)
