Hi, y'all!

"Sombras no Oriente" (Shadows in the Orient) is a Lords of Darkness/Monster Manual-style book from Brazilian publisher Editora Viu and the second book in their setting.

This week I posted the cover for this book, which features a vampire samurai battling a BIG demon in a burning castle! Check it out! Then let me know what you guys think!

Oh, I LOVE that monster and the lighting. I like the vampire samurai, too, but his limbs seem a bit wrong; too short, the wrong angle? I'm not sure. It's a wonderful piece, though. You keep getting more and more impressive.

Wow! That's really awesome. :) The color scheme rocks. I like the red against blue battle. And the detail on both faces is amazing. Good job! :) Keep it up.

The pieces of samurai armor tend (specially the shoulder guards and the MC Hammer pants) definitely make someone seem short-limbed. Plus he's japanese-like, so he's not tall by any means... :) I laid out the entire body before adding the armor, and he *still* looks like a midget!

I think it is a wonderful image. However, I have two critiques:

1) His left shoulder seems just a tad low on his frame, which may be what caught P-Kitty's eye.
2) The katana looks like it is too short.
