But it’s a smaller number than most years, because the DM for our current campaign, a very good friend whom I love to death, is frankly both lazy about prep and bad at improvising. A lot of sessions get called off because she isn’t ready, and a lot of sessions end up short because she expected the prep she did to go a lot further than it did. I’m definitely playing in this game because it’s friends and family that I enjoy having an excuse to spend time with, not because it’s great D&D. I’m really eager to take back over DMing, and I think the group agrees, but we all want to support our friend’s DMing ambitions and give her the chance to practice.</p></blockquote><p></p>
