How do you rationalize it forsaking such a winning strategy in favour of one that is clearly suicidal and obviously aimed at nothing more than giving your players a fighting chance?</p><p></p><p>All this should already have been ironed out before the DM even ran the encounter. He should know what the party will be getting into, in the very least, and not assume that they will be fine somehow.</p></blockquote><p></p>
