How closely do you read the core books? (Humorous references in the books)

I was skimming through my DMG the other day, checking some stuff on doors, when for some reason, my eyes caught something in the floors section.

DMG pg. 108, last sentence before the Doors section. Monte threw in an Austin Powers reference (or at least, that's the only explanation I can conjecture).

Now, if I can find one, I'm sure there must be others throughout the core books. So, has anybody else noticed any? Had you even seen the one I noticed?

Wow! I have never noticed that before... but then, I use the DMG more like a reference than anything else... very cool!

There's also a (now well known) fight club reference in the playtester credits...

I gotta admit I noticed the sea bass reference the first time reading through the book but as I had not watched Austin Powers it meant nothing to me. Of course as I have still not watched Austin Powers it still means nothing to me

Yeah, I saw that too. I thought it was pretty funny.

I liked the examples of Tracking DC. The village idiot could track him over a rocky surface and it snowed yesterday. Something like that.
