My family moved to Syracuse New York and some kids a few houses down the block walked up to me a few days after we moved in and said to me: "Hey, ya wanna try this new game with us?" It was the Blue-grey boxed version of DnD (although they had the earliest version books as well that they lent to me to read ... and though I tried to read them I had no clue what the game was about ...
