D&amp;D is its own animal that pretends to be fantasy, it may be a subgenre of fantasy but that is about as high on the food chain as it gets and even that might be giving more credit than is due.Right now the probelm IMO is that D&amp;D does not support traditional fantasy at all and has moved into the realm of only supporting the way it envisions fantasy or &quot;D&amp;Disms&quot;.
