How do non-lawful fighters multiclass to boost their Will saves?

Is it just me or do non-lawful characters have a very much harder time boosting their Will saves via multiclassing? Especially non-spellcasters?

If I'm a combat type and lawful, I can multiclass to Knight or Monk; if I'm a stealthy type and lawful I can multiclass to Monk. But if I'm not lawful, I need to become a spellcaster. There's no non-spellcasting choice. I can just about see someone take a few levels of Bard even if they don't have a sufficient Cha to cast spells, but not other classes. Think of the poor half-orc barbarian who has good Str, Con, and Dex but poor other stats.

Or am I missing something?

Iron will?

Use the generic fighter from UA and make your good save Will. Problem solved! Or just be a cleric who never casts spells.

Take a dip into Binder. He's techincally not a spellcaster. Bind Aym. Your speed isn't reduced for wearing armor and anyone who hits you with a melee attack takes a d6 of fire damage. You also do double damage to objects and gain Improved Sunder.

What's not to like? Oh, you take a +0 to BAB. But everything else is cake. If you take another level, you can add all sorts of goodies while your bound to a vestige. +5 hit points; Energy Resistance 5 to one type, DR 1/-, +1 insight bonus on damage rolls, attack rolls, armor class, or 1 saving throw, or a +2 insight bonus to initiative.

That's a +4 bonus to will from (with the pact augmentation), +3 to Fort, and +1 to BAB. Combine that with Iron Will and Great Fortitude, and you get a +6 to Will and +5 to Fort.

No you are not. Degenerate {chaotic] lunatics {willing to enter a killing rage] are supposed to have that liability. Just accept the lawful group who have rehearsed thier tactics will have a cleric readying to cast Hold Person on you when you reach their front line {ending your turn] and have another member Delaying so he can 5' adjust forward and CDG you before yor second save ever occurs. Then if you survive the ally's CDG, the cleric will then adjust forward and CDG you on his own turn {his ready placing his initiative tick right before your's]

Multiclass to psychic warrior, take the Empty Mind power (+2 will save as an immediate action) and the Psicrystal psionic feat with Resolved (+2 will save). You need a wisdom of at least 12, but then any character concerned about will saves should have an above average wisdom.

If you don't have a wisdom of at least 12, you could go cleric with Luck and Mind domains. Luck will give you a reroll once per day (save for will saves) and Mind gives you +2 saves vs. enchantment spells (at least half of the truly annoying will saves). Having no wisdom will of course mean no spells, but cleric itself will give you +2 will save. If you can muster wisdom 11, you can cast one first level spell and one domain spell so you can have some more protection.

Yeah, maggot is right. Why not cleric? Turn undead is great for some divine feats and the class alone gives you plenty of will save.
