No matter how huge a creature's penalty to damage is, they always inflict a minimum of one point of damage if they hit. Thus begging the question: "Why haven't the world's cats turned on humanity and killed off all the 1st level peasants?"
Real life cats don't deal 1d2-4 damage. I swear.
Several years ago, I had a 7th grade student get hospitalized for a day after being attacked by a domestic cat. The boy looked someone stuck his head in a blender.
Icky.
I've never heard of such a rule.I'm pretty sure that attacks that do less than one HP of damage actually inflict nonlethal damage instead...
Ah. Must've had levels in Spawn of Satan. Ups the damage considerably, apart from anything else.Several years ago, I had a 7th grade student get hospitalized for a day after being attacked by a domestic cat. The boy looked someone stuck his head in a blender.

3e: minimum damage 1.
4e: minimum damage 0.
Minimum Damage: If penalties reduce the damage result to less than 1, a hit still deals 1 point of nonlethal damage.
