How do you "De-Burr" the Dungeon Tiles?

I really like the WotC Dungeon Tiles, I just have one small problem...

When I try to lay them out side-by side, they don't quite fit together right (esp a problem if I arrange a bunch of the Little Ones together).

The problem is from the Tiles were Attached to the Cardstock. Those little Burrs really make it hard for the to but together perfectly.

I was wondering if anyone has a way to smooth the edges down.

I've considered sandpaper, but I am worried about tearing the images.

Has anyone found a way to do this?

Thanks

I took an exacto knife and sliced them off.

It was time consuming, and you have to be careful not to cut so deep into the cardboard that you leave noticeable indentations.

After slicing, I "colored in" the white spots with a pencil.

I've done this and used a sharpie to color the edges.

Not sure, but finger nail clippers work well on board game chits.

And this is something I have done in the past but hadn't thought to do with dungeon tiles. Nice call, old school. ;)

My gaming habits sometimes make me sound older than 30. :D
