You know, when you think about that image, it has serious cool factor: The ice cap burst as if from a volcanic eruption. However, before your eyes in your crystal ball, not a stream of lava and volcanic ash emerge, but a collasal head! In incredulity you watch a creature apparently made all of stone completely burst appart its mountain-shell home with purposeful blows. The creature is easily 100' tall and is determinedly heading towards your country's capital. You watch in horror, as, with extreme prejudice, it simply razes the walls and surrounding construction. Its actions are not frenzied, nor are they sluggish - its entire existance speaks to discipline and purpose...and extreme efficiency. Balistas, catapult ammunition, and all mundane weapons simply bounce off the creature. You notice on the fringe of your magical vision that a magical contingent is preparing a barage. Hell literally rains down over the city's foe in the form of meteors, lightning, and all other forces of magic and nature. To the participants dismay, all their magical maelstrom poofs out of existance when reaching the proximity of the creature. This strange automaton is an abberant unstoppable behemoth. It is a literal juggernaut of power. Thinking back to your days of study, you recall those creatures from the celestial realms. You know what you must do. For the next hour, your prepare your spells in anguish knowing that every second means added carnage. You feel the weight of time's inexorability bearing down on you but know that you must concentrate in an utter calm. You push everything from your mind but the incantations necessary to request aid from the celestial realms. By the end of the hour you are dripping with sweat - anxiety can still effect your body, even if you can block it from your mind. In a few minutes (think extend spell) you have burned through every spell, pertinent scroll and magic item you have. AN ARMY OF LANTERN ARCHONS AWAITS YOUR COMMAND! Your orders are simple - DESTROY the creature razing the capital. Quicker than thought, the several score of lantern archons teleport within the vicinity of the colossus and hundreds of beams of light suddenly lance into the thing. Where the creature was able to destroy with impunity, it now must face the almost spec-sized dots of light swarming around it. Light beam after light beam strikes the creature like thousands of tiny stab wounds. The stone on the outside begins to flake off of the creature. After a minute or so of these concentrated attacks, a crack suddenly appears at the creature's sternum. With increasing spead, it branches until the now numerous cracks cover the creature. Light begins to emenate in the cracks. Suddenly, the creature's head flings back with its eyes and mouth wide open. Shafts of brilliant light shoot skyward and the emenating light between all the numerous cracks erupts disintegrating the entire creature into millions of tiny dust sized particles that spread over the whole of the city. ... Well, it's cool to me anyways :)
