At the WotC site, the link to join the RPGA doesn't work. Is it possible to join?

Well, if you get an error, you should get this error message:

Click here or call 1-800-250-7589 for assistance.

Clicking on the link does nothing, so you probably need to call the 800 number during the "normal" work week (Mon-Fri).

Membership is now free, so they probably had to delete the old "item" from the online store and add a new one--and they haven't fixed the link from the main RPGA screen.

Currently there are 2 ways to join the RPGA. As noted above, all memberships are now free.

1) Go to any RPGA event and participate in a game. They will issue you a RPGA card at the event.

2) Take the Herald GM Test at the address below. After you pass, you will be mailed an RPGA card/# in a couple weeks.

Also, Barendd Nobeard has kindly offered to register folks. Scoot up to the announcement "GenCon RPGA" thread at the top of the page (currently it mentions Morrus and prancing ponies) and check there!

The test is multiple choice, open book. You can take it as many times as you like. 20 questions must be answered correctly to pass. If you miss just one question--BUZZ!!!--the test is over and you have to start again.

However, they do seem to have gotten rid of the questions with incorrect answers. Well, most of them anyway....
