Honestly, I like it just about any way it's possible to make it. I like variety. Unfortunately, in the last few years I've become very sensitive to anything that affects metabolism, so I can't have it anymore. When I was in Iraq, during long nights on alert with nothing to do but needing to stay awake anyways, we would heat up a water bottle and add a packet of instant coffee and a pouch of hot chocolate from an MRE. Made for quite a pickup during a long, uneventful alert shift. Nowadays, it would probably make me throw up. I don't know if it was related, but I ended up with an autoimune disorder called Graves Disease (a hyperthyroid condition) that affects metabolism. Imagine a car engine running at red line, 24/7, for 3 months. I've always had a fast metabolism but this was just off the charts. Always hungry and eating but can't gain weight (lost about 30 lbs. - body fat and muscle mass), can only sleep about 2-3 hours at a shot, adrenaline is constantly pumping full throttle, resting heart rate about 110, skin itches all the time, very aggresive and agitated - you know, your basic edition war thread poster.;) Technically, after treatment I no longer have a fuctioning thyroid, but stuff like coffee and chocolate, even a little bit, still make my heart race, make me jittery and anxious, and sometimes nauseated and sick. I can't have anything with cafeine in it anymore (coffee, chocolate, hot chocolate), except an occasional sweet tea (although I can handle a mug of green tea daily). I can't have medication with pseodoephedrine or dextromathorphin (spelling?) either (sudafed and cough medicine). They do the same thing to me that cafeine does, except both will make me extremely anxious, and DM will also make me feel hot and flushed. It sucks since I really enjoyed coffee and hot chocolate. Now I can't even have a mini can of Coke or a piece of chocolate cake.:( Oh well! Enjoy your Java boys!:p
