How do you take another classes paragon path?

I've seen several references to a class using another classes paragon path (warlock taking divine oracle path, for example). How does this happen? Are you eligible for it if you take a multiclass feat?

That's correct. If you've taken a multiclass feat, you're eligible for either classes' paragon paths.

There are a couple of exceptions; for instance, several of the Warlock and Ranger paragon paths focus on improving elements of their base class features, and you don't get those features from multiclassing into them.

Is there a way to take a power from a different paragon path for the same class? Or would that be something you could accomplish with a swap power feat?

Unfortunately, the power-swap feats will not allow you to take powers from other classes, paragon or not (PH 209).

Um, what? Replacing one of your primary Class Encounter/Daily/Utility powers with your Multiclass Encounter/Daily/Utility is exactly what the power swap feats do.

Or am I misunderstanding you?

Apologies, I should have qualified my statement a bit. The power-swap feats do not allow you to swap powers from additional classes (other than the one multiclass you have selected), including from paragon classes.

Except that your paragon path powers are not among the powers of your class. If your ranter takes a fighter multiclass and then the Pit Fighter paragon path, then you can swap out your ranger powers with those of the fighter... but the Pit Fighter powers aren't fighter powers nor are they ranger powers; they're pit fighter powers.

Ok, yeah, that's better. Sorry for the misunderstanding :)
