Tried joining one campaign, that didn't last due to differences with the DM when he decided that one of the other PC's could play an Acolyte of the Skin while I was playing a Paladin/Cleric of Lathander. The DM didn't even ask me if I was willing to play in a party with serious conflict. I might've said yes, but I don't like being thrown into a conflict without knowing one is going to exist in the first place. I didn't have to know the exact nature of the conflict, just that one was going to be present.The second game I tried to run. It wasn't bad save that I made the mistake of allowing players from at least three different time zones play. They were all good people, we just had a hard time progressing because while one player was responding to e-mails, the others were sleeping.When I was younger, I joined groups  formed by people I met at the local gaming store. I very rarely found a truly enjoyable campaign though due to vast differences in personalities. It took me along time to develop a cool core gaming group. Now I game with guys I have met over the years through gaming who still like to play. Online and the local gaming store are two great places to look for groups.</blockquote>
