Who are these gods then? Are they active or passive? If I opt for distant gods like <em>Eberron</em> that changes the tone of the class slightly compared to worlds where you can directly communicate with the gods.</p><p></p><p>All this influences your game and the type of stories you tell. Just by something as simple as saying "wizards don't exist, only warlocks" I've changed major assumption regarding D&D as suddenly magic has a cost and must be bargains for.</p></blockquote><p></p>
