I think it might actually appeal to some people who like highly complex rules, and an eloberate setting, and don't want to focus on combat. I tried, I have the most recent core rulebook, but it's just not my taste. I am a power-gamer, butt-kicker, tactician, whatever. I like killing monsters and taking their stuff. D&D or Shadowrun is far more to my liking.The adventures aren't that bad. They make some good intrigue, investigation and exploration stuff. They just need a little more... violence.Though my impressions are a bit colored by the fact that the most recent adventures we tried where for beginners and thus light on rules and combat.
